My name Katalina Leilani Pututau. I am currently a student at The Academy for Math, Engineering, and Science hosted by Cottonwood High School in Salt lake City,Utah. I am a pacific islander, specifically Tongan. I have a HUGE family, We LOVE SPORTS! I play volleyball and am currently on the volleyball team at Cottonwood High school. Getting back to my huge family, there are eight children including me. I am the 2nd oldest child and oldest girl. I was born Febuary 26,1997 to my Wonderful parents Taina Fanamake Kinikni Pututau and Howard Hunter Pututau .For my elementary education I attended kindergarden at Medowlark Elementary, and 1st grade through 6th grade at Escalante elementary, where I participated in the Extending learning program (ELP), as well as student council. After elementary I went on to attend Northwest Middle school, where I continued my involvement in ELP classes. I also participated in Student Senate, MESA, Math Counts, and Poly Club. I have been a student at The Academy for Math, Engineering, and Science since my freshman year. I have recently been involved in AMES Student Council 2014-2015. Also have enrolled in AP and Honors courses since beginning as a freshman. I am happy to have spent four great years attending AMES, but even more excited to finally graduate this coming June. I will be attending the University of Utah, next fall. AMES has shaped me into the person I am today, and has taught me what I want out of life, and how I can get it. My time at AMES might be coming to an end, but AMES has prepared me for the scary road ahead, so I am confident that my future will be successful.
